This year, Pablo Ganguli completes ten years of creating LIBERATUM global cultural diplomacy festivals and artistic ventures around the world. With patron Ella Krasner and Corinthia Hotel London, Liberatum held its 10th anniversary celebrations and payed tribute to Sir Peter Blake, British pop art pioneer. Liberatum celebrated Sir Peter’s illustrious career and exceptional contribution to the British art scene.

To honour this legendary artist, and to celebrate the 10th Anniversary of LIBERATUM’s cultural diplomacy festivals, summits and artistic endeavours all over the world, artistic director Pablo Ganguli and LIBERATUM Patron Ella Krasner hosted an exclusive dinner in London on the 23rd of November in the stunning ballroom at the prestigious Corinthia Hotel London. The newly opened Corinthia Hotel London is housed within a grand, Victorian building offering sweeping views across London and unrivalled world-class luxury.

Guests included leading figures from the worlds of art, film, music, theatre, design, literature and fashion such as Phillip Treacy, Sotheby’s International Chairman Robin Woodhead, Henry Holland, Anouck Lepere, Jefferson Hack, Rosey Chan, Pam Hogg, Natalie Dormer, Sir VS Naipaul, Mike Figgis, Michael Nyman, William Orbit, Gavin Turk and Hanif Kureishi. They dined on a three course banquet from Corinthia London’s Executive Chef Garry Hollihead, including salmon gravalax with a sweet mustard and lemon dressing followed by  rump of Herdwick Lamb with tapenade jus and a dessert of burnt vanilla custard, basket of seasonal fruit and crystallised lemon confit.

Liberatum’s highlights in the last ten years include presenting James Franco’s Rebel exhibition in Venice, holding museum management workshops with V&A Museum in Papua New Guinea and Fiji, staging inspiring talks during Istanbul’s year as the European Capital of Culture between Nobel Laureate Sir VS Naipaul and Vogue Italia editor Franca Sozzani, collaborating with Valery Gergiev and Thomas Ades on opera and orchestra performances in Saint Petersburg at the Mariinsky, promoting arts and literature in New Delhi and Mumbai with participants such as Goldie Hawn and Clare Short, and holding memorable events honouring Gore Vidal, Zaha Hadid and Terry Gilliam around the world.

Liberatum founder and artistic director, Pablo Ganguli, says:

I am delighted that Liberatum will celebrate the life and career of Sir Peter Blake this month. A great artist of our times and someone who inspires us deeply.
